Problem statement
This project aimed to fully modernize an existing installation. The scope included replacing the equipment, installing new PLC hardware and integrating new motors and variable frequency drives. In addition, the complete oven control system was optimized, including the development and implementation of new PLC software.
The modernization had to result in a more reliable, efficient, and controllable installation that met current technical and safety standards. The project required a detailed budget estimation to accurately define all technical, mechanical, and automation‑related investments.
Our solution
Our solution consisted of a complete budget study in which multiple suppliers were contacted for all technical components. All potential savings were clearly defined and quantified, forming the basis for an ROI analysis.
In addition, a high-level planning was developed to provide insight into the project phasing. At the end of the study, we prepared a presentation allowing the full proposal to be submitted to the board for budget approval. PX Consulting was also entrusted with the follow‑up of the project execution.
